New Mexico’s 2013 Cycling Season
The dates for many cycling events have been set for the 2013 season.  Whether you are looking for fun road rides, triathlon, or mountain and road racing, our community has a lot to offer you with a range of events starting in the spring. Zia Rides  is hosting two 12 hour races in New Mexico early this year as well as the 24 hr USA Cycling Nationals held in Enchanted Forest.  They have an excellent video highlighting 24 hrs in Enchanted Forest and the amazing single-track the area has to offer.  Registration is already open for 12 Hours in the Wild West and Dawn ’til Dusk.  Registration for Enchanted Forest opens February 18th. Triathlon season will be starting up in the spring and New Mexico Sports Online has already listed a few races for early registration.  You can also reference Chasing 3 for more details on their triathlons this year.  Check out New Mexico Cycling for a complete list of cycling events available on their online calendar. Winter is still a great time to get out and train for upcoming events.  Don’t let the cold weather keep you from enjoying these winter days on your bike.  Bundle up and ride on!
